Weather

Monument Valley is located at over 5,000' ft and can experience a myriad of weather.

Summer: During summer we can experience extreme heat, sometimes reaching up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. The summer nights in August and July stay warm until around 5am when it cools down to about 70 degrees. It is important to remember that you are at a higher elevation and to keep in the shade when possible.

Winter: During the winter we can experience extreme cold! We are at a high elevation and have little shelter from the wind. We often receive up to a foot of snow throughout the winter. Our roads and highways can become impassible due to the weather. Be sure to wear warm clothes and be prepared for winter conditions.
