Hiking in Monument Valley!

There are many beautiful hikes that are accessible on your own and by a guide. Here are the main hikes that we believe are worth doing!

Mitchell Mesa Hike (Guided)

This hike is an amazing experience that begins within Lower Monument Valley and takes you to the top of the mesa where you will get an unprecedented view of Monument Valley. The hike is around 2.5 miles round trip and is considered a medium difficulty and is uphill for 1 mile.

Hunts Mesa Hike (Guided)

Hunts Mesa is one of the best locations to visit in Monument Valley and one of the premier ways to visit this location is by hiking up from the Valley, or from the Kayenta area. Total the hike can either be 6 miles round trip or 10 miles one way.

Tear Drop Arch (Guided)

A seldom visited part of Monument Valley! This location features a large arch that overlooks park of the valley. This is a small hike/drive that typically takes 2 hours time. There are ancient anasazi ruins and more to explore on this outcrop of towering sandstone buttes that sit above Monument Valley.

Gouldings Arch Trail Network

Gouldings Lodge has a network of trails that lead from their rentals to the campground and the
